This book is the result of a virtual seminar coordinated by the Museo del Palacio de Bellas Artes (MPBA) within the framework of the extensive and extensive program organized by the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (INBAL) to celebrate the centenary of muralism in 2022, offering an approach to the founding decade of the movement. Through seven essays written by leading specialists, readers will find new interpretations and perspectives that shed light on authors, works and processes that are little known or remembered today. The opening chapter by Dafne Cruz Porchini is about Charlot's role in the Mexican mural movement.
