Artists of Hawaiʻi (Book 1 Volume 2)
Artists of Hawaiʻi: Volume 2 — interviews and photographs by Francis Haar, edited by Murray Turnbull. Published by the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts and the University of Hawaiʻi Press, 1977.
This volume covers each artist by means of a portrait photograph, a brief biographical note, and a statement by the artist concerning his or her career. Generally each artist’s work is represented by three photographs—one of the photographs is in color and one shows the artist at work on a piece of art.
The artists are placed in the book in alphabetical order: Ruthadell Anderson, Joseph Feher, Joseph Goto, Charles Higa, Pegge Hopper, Claude Horan, Erica Karawina, Kenneth Kingrey, Ron Kowalke, Tetsuo Ochikubo, Vladimir Ossipoff, Alice Kagawa Parrott, Mamoro Sato, Ken Shutt, Toshiko Takaezu, Reuben Tam, Jean Williams, and John Wisnosky.
